Jim Henson Company to adapt animated series for Rachel Smythe’s beloved WEBTOON comic, “Lore Olympus”

With more than 2.5 million followers on the South Korean online comic publisher, “Lore Olympus” is a staple of WEBTOON’s romance section, and soon, it will be a young adult animated series from the company that gave us the Muppets, “Labyrinth” and most recently, a sequel to its Dark Crystal film for Netflix.

Every week on Saturday evenings, at least for the Eastern time zone, the comic tells stories from Greek mythology with a modern aesthetic, with a particular interest in Hades and Persephone. The YA show should follow modernized mythology as well, although more details will come out later in the show’s development.
