Disney Channel Releases New “Owl House” and “Amphibia” Footage

With just six days until the premiere of highly anticipated show “Amphibia” on Disney Channel (June 17), Disney Television Animation released the above teaser footage for Dana Terrace’s “The Owl House.”

While no specific release date has been announced beyond 2020, this gives us a look at the world main character Luz finds herself joining — by way of magical portal, of course — to “pursue her dream of becoming a witch.” Eda, a “rebellious witch,” and King, “an adorably tiny warrior,” bring the non-magical human teen into the Owl House as Eda’s apprentice.

Show creator Terrace was one of Variety’s 10 Animators to Watch in 2017 as well as working on Disney’s “Ducktales” and with “Amphibia” creator Matt Braly on “Gravity Falls.”

Annecy International Animated Film Festival kicked off this week in France, so stay tuned for more news about upcoming animated projects with Disney and more.
